I think you raise some particularly important points with the concepts of a dynamic relationship/regulation between such nutrients and also about the somatic presentation of various deficiencies. The Faber paper is perhaps one that I need to get the full-text for.Paul Whiteleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14288851488012254897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5548560205914833324.post-27668808447313531682011-06-21T02:37:40.565+01:002011-06-21T02:37:40.565+01:00I believe that there is also a relationship betwee...I believe that there is also a relationship between zinc and copper that might play a role in autism. Some children have very low levels of zinc and very high levels of copper -

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19280374

All three of my daughters are zinc deficient and as a result have high levels of copper (or maybe vice versa). All three have required zinc supplementation to get their zinc levels up into the normal range for their age and their copper levels back down to safer levels.

I don't know if restoring the balance helped with the symptom of their autism but it did certainly help with the reoccurring eczema that the twins had.M.J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12033918835169823548noreply@blogger.com
